A free webinar featuring a panel of people with disabilities, family members, direct support professionals and advocates

Join the National Center on Advancing Person-Centered Practices and Systems (NCAPPS) for “Build Back Better: Striving for a Post-Pandemic World that is Person-Centered and Inclusive for All” on Dec. 13 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to drastic changes in the way people with disabilities engage with and access their communities for work, play, and building and maintaining relationships.

It has also increased the urgency to address health disparities, inaccessibility, ableism, and shift from segregated settings to accessible opportunities to engage in all aspects of life.

People with disabilities, family members, direct support professionals and advocates will reflect on the lessons they have learned during the pandemic. Panelists will share the positive and negative ways that the COVID-19 pandemic has:

  • Impacted their lives
  • Their hopes for the future
  • How policy and practice can draw lessons and move systems to be more person-centered.

The panel will discuss their perspectives on the “normal” life that many in the non-disabled community seek to return to, and steps to make the “new normal” more inclusive of people with disabilities.

Register online to attend this free discussion.

NCAPPS webinars include ASL interpretation and live captions in both English and Spanish.
