Free live Zoom event exploring camps, after-school activities and other learning opportunities beyond the classroom for children who are deaf and hard of hearing and their families

Join the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center (Clerc Center) on Zoom for “Beyond Classroom Walls: Exploring Family Learning and Camps for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children” on Feb. 28 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

This panel discussion will offer insight and information on learning opportunities outside of the classroom for children and youth who are deaf and hard of hearing and their families.

Project Manager for Early Intervention Stacy Abrams, MA, will moderate this live Zoom panel event highlighting:

  • The importance of family learning vacations on learning sign language
  • Experiences with after-school programs and advocating for accessibility
  • The transformative impact of camps for the deaf  in fostering social skills and life experiences

Time will be available for a question and answer session.

Participants will receive a comprehensive list of camps two weeks after the event.
