A free webinar providing an overview of vocational rehabilitation services and employment rights for individuals with disabilities

Family Matters Parent Training & Information Center is hosting “An Introduction to Client Assistance Program (CAP) at Equip for Equality (EFE)” on Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Presenter Emily Wilson is a staff attorney and CAP Advocate with the Special Education Clinic at Equip for Equality. Wilson will provide an overview of the services available through the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS), Centers for Independent Living (CILS) and CAP now housed at Equip for Equality. She will also discuss how to access services and answer questions about:

  • Vocational rehabilitation services (VR)
  • Employment rights
  • Coordinating VR and transition services for youth in high school

Wilson has a background in education and special education advocacy. She has experience addressing transition issues for students with disabilities in Virginia, Pennsylvania and Illinois.
