Free training providing tips and strategies for advocating at your child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) meeting

Join Family Matters Parent Training & Information Center and Child and Family Connections #21 (CFC #21) for “Advocating Effectively at an IEP Meeting” on March 21 from 12 to 1 p.m.

Participants will learn strategies for advocating effectively at your next IEP meeting.

This training will cover:

  • The components of and barriers to collaboration
  • Meeting preparation and reviewing expectations
  • Tips for maintaining respectful communication during a meeting
  • Constructive ways to resolve disagreements
