Virtual “Together From Anywhere” Event to Support Families and Providers of Children Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Free virtual webinars exploring strategies, tools and techniques to support children who are deaf or hard of hearing and the providers who work with them
The Illinois School for the Deaf (ISD) will host “Together From Anywhere,” a two-week learning program for families and providers.
Participants will meet on Jan. 31 and Feb. 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ( the login time is 30 minutes before start time) to explore:
- January Sessions –
- Topic 1: “Behavior in School” with Kari Taylor from the Illinois Service Resource Center (ISRC)
- Topic 2: “Growing Up Deaf” with Leslie Williams from Chicago Hearing Society (CHS) Youth Connections
- February Sessions –
- Topic 3 – “Socialization” with Andrea Marwah from the Illinois School for the Deaf (ISD) Outreach
- Topic 4 – “Connect and Discover iOS & Android Edition for Kids” with Tina Childress from ISD Outreach
Come in your bathrobe and bunny slippers, grab a tea or coffee and learn how to support your child’s success.
Explore a variety of topics, network with others and leave each session with:
- Key strategies
- Important tools
- Helpful techniques
You can ask questions and keep your camera on or off, depending on how the kids are cooperating.
The sessions are free.
