A virtual conference for families, self-advocates and providers featuring four keynote speakers and 21 breakout sessions

Join The Arc of Illinois 72nd Annual Convention virtually for “Turning Silver Linings Into Golden Opportunities” on April 13 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and April 14 from 8 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.

The Arc of Illinois’ 72nd Annual Convention will be focusing on golden opportunities for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the COVID-19 era.

The convention features a new online format and an array of keynote presentations and session topics including:

  • Resiliency, advocacy and parenting
  • Guardianship, alternatives and the new Supported Decision-Making Act
  • Learning and teaching about relationships and sexual self-advocacy
  • Entrepreneurship and being your own boss
  • Self-advocacy for technology in grades K-12
  • Increasing social skills preparedness in high school and beyond
  • Diversity within disabilities and a personal account of living with autism

Registered participants will have a choice of three breakout sessions at each time slot and access to all the recordings.

The convention also includes an art exhibit, silent auction, exhibitor hall and awards.
