Virtual SAILS Program – Supporting Adolescents With Independent Life Skills
A series of educational sessions on a variety of topics related to the transition to adult care
The Transition to Adult Care Team at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is hosting a virtual summer SAILS (Supporting Adolescents With Independent Life Skills) program.
The program includes a series of educational sessions on a variety of Transition to Adult Care topics, including:
- Practicing healthcare skills
- Understanding your benefits as an adult
- Adult guardianship
The SAILS sessions will be virtual using Microsoft Teams. A call-in option is also available.
The sessions take place on Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. starting June 30 through Sept. 8. (Please note there is no session on July 28.)
The June 30 session will focus on medical transition with presenters Parag Shah, MD, and Angela Berger, LCSW.
Meeting log-in information and a full schedule of upcoming SAILS sessions are posted on the Lurie website.
