Virtual Conference -“Individuals with IDD and Mental Health”
A virtual conference focusing on individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) and mental health and available resources and programs
The Arc of Illinois is hosting the virtual “Individuals with IDD and Mental Health” conference on Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
The conference will focus on individuals with IDD and co-occurring mental or behavioral health disabilities (dual diagnosis).
A wide range of presenters will speak on topics that include:
- An overview of dual diagnosis and the National Association of Dual Diagnosis (NADD)
- Promising practices
- The Illinois Training Initiative and what’s known about dual diagnosis in Illinois
- Mental health and IDD in the court and forensic system
The goal of the conference is for attendees to leave with tangible resources, ideas or programs for themselves or those they support.
