A free, six-week writers workshop via Zoom for young adults ages 18 and older with and without disabilities

Tellin’ Tales Theatre will host the Young Adults Writers Workshop from June 7 to July 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The workshop will be each Wednesday on Zoom.

The program culminates in a live performance on July 24 at Sulzer Regional Library in Chicago.

This inclusive workshop will coach writers in developing a personal story around a common theme.

This year’s writers workshop theme is “Life is in the Details.” Each writer will examine the details in their life that lead to emotion, insight and realizations. The workshop will focus on:

  • Developing collaboration skills and specific writing techniques
  • Finding and developing a unique voice
  • Perfecting performance skills to draw your audience in

Tellin’ Tales Theatre Program Director Stephen Donart, who has a master’s in theater and curriculum instruction and design, leads the program. He has more than 30 years of experience teaching, directing and performing for schools and the professional stage.

See the Young Adult Writers Workshop flyer for more details.

The workshop free.
