Virtual and In-Person – Sibshops for Children and Teens in Northbrook
In-person and virtual Sibshops for children and teens ages 6 to 16
JCFS Chicago will host its next in-person Sibshop on Aug. 27 from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Sibshops are at JCFS’ Northbrook location and are for children and teens ages 6 to 16. Each Sibshop begins with a large group opening activity. Children and teens will then separate into age groups (children and teens).
JCFS Sibshops are a place where siblings of people with special health and developmental needs can:
- Meet, have fun and laugh
- Talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sib with special needs
- Play some great games
- Learn something about the services their siblings receive
In-person Sibshops are $30 per session. Partial scholarships are available.

In-person Sibshops will also take place on Oct. 15, Nov. 12 and Dec. 10 from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Virtual Sibshops for youth ages 7 to 12 will be available if there are enough participants. Virtual sessions are for siblings who cannot participate in person but want to connect with other siblings.
The virtual sessions are free and will take place on Sept. 21, Oct. 26 and Nov. 30 from 6 to 7 p.m.
