Virtual – 7th Annual Chicago Sickle Cell Summit

Improving Sickle Cell Care in Adolescents & Adults in Chicago (ISAAC) partners will host the “7th Annual Chicago Sickle Cell Summit” on Zoom on Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
ISAAC is a partnership of UI Health, University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP), Sinai Health System, Lawndale Christian Health Center and other community partners.
The summit’s theme is “Medical Advancements and Successful Sickle Cell Care: ‘Casting a Wide Net.’” It will include two sessions:
- Session 1 – 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will feature keynote speaker Lakshmanan Krishnamurti, MD. Krishnamurti is the chief of pediatric hematology and oncology at Yale School of Medicine.
- Session 2 – 12: 45 to 3 p.m. will include three speakers and panelists
Patients, caregivers, providers and other stakeholders will connect virtually to:
- Provide information on the latest updates and new advances
- Learn about developments in sickle cell science
- Create synergy to improve care for sickle cell patients across Chicagoland
