Free STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) camp for middle and high school-aged youth with autism
Join the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Nelson Institute Center for Climatic Research for The Sky’s the Limit STEM Camp every Friday from June 16 to July 21.
The camp will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Welty Environmental Center, 1201 Big Hill Court, in Beloit, Wis.
The Sky’s the Limit STEM Camp embraces neurodivergence and flexible teaching strategies to provide a welcoming learning environment for unique thinkers and youth with autism.
The camp aims to:
- Broaden science opportunities for youth with autism
- Provide nature-based, hands-on learning opportunities
- Encourage youth to pursue STEM degrees and careers
Attendees will participate in hands-on outdoor and indoor activities, such as learning to fly a drone, collecting soil and water samples, and hiking through beautiful landscapes. See the complete schedule of activities online.
