The Penguin Project of McLean County 2023 Information Meeting

An opportunity for young artists with disabilities to explore the dramatic arts and their creative talents

The Penguin Project of McLean County invites youth and their parents to their “2023 Info Meeting” on Jan. 17 from 6 to 7 p.m.

The meeting will be at the Normal Activity Center, 1110 Douglas St., in Normal.

Parents/guardians and participants can hear the show announcement excitement and find out what’s planned for the 2023 season!

The Penguin Project provides a supportive environment for children ages 10 to 24 with disabilities to explore their creative talents. Children with cognitive, learning, motor, hearing and visual impairments, genetic disorders and neurological disorders are matched with age level peer-mentors. Peer-mentors, ages 12 to 24, work alongside their partners throughout the entire rehearsal process and on stage provide direct assistance only as needed.

Meeting participants will receive application information and the rehearsal schedule.
