Free day camp for youth who are deaf and hard of hearing who want to build their self-confidence while developing leadership and creative thinking skills

Chicago Park District’s Deaf & Hard of Hearing Programs is hosting a free “Teen Leadership Camp” from July 5 to Aug. 12. The camp will run Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at two locations:

  • Gage Park, 2511 W. 55th St., Chicago
  • Horner Park, 2741 W. Montrose Ave., Chicago

Teen Leadership Camp is for youth who want to develop leadership and creative thinking skills while building self-confidence.

Teens will have a unique opportunity to directly contribute to summer camp activities for younger kids with all kinds of hearing loss. Camp is open to teens ages 14 to 18 (rising eighth through 12th graders) who are deaf and hard of hearing.
