A camp for boys who are interested in learning about science and technology in grades 7, 8 or 9 and who are deaf or hard of hearing

The National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) is hosting TechBoys from July 23 to 28.  The camp is held at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf on the Rochester Institute of Technology campus, in Rochester, New York.

TechBoys is a week-long summer camp for deaf or hard-of-hearing boys entering grades 7, 8, or 9 who are interested in science, technology, engineering and math. Camp classes are taught in English and in sign language.

Campers will use state-of-the-art technology to create a high-tech gadget to take home, conduct laboratory experiments and more.

The cost is $700, which includes housing in a residence hall and food for the week. Limited financial assistance is available based on financial need.

Sign up online to apply.  Registration and payment for camp must be received by May 15.

If you have previously attended TechBoys, you are not eligible to attend again.
