“Take Charge of Your Health: Live Well, Be Well” Workshop in Murphysboro
Free six-week workshop for anyone with a chronic health condition and/or their caregiver.
Are you an adult with or a caregiver of someone with an ongoing health condition such as diabetes, arthritis, lung disease, Parkinson’s, heart disease or other chronic condition? If so, consider this “Take Charge of Your Health: Live Well, Be Well” workshop.
The workshop is an evidence-based, self-management workshop designed to help you take control of your chronic health conditions. This program is a fun and interactive course that will equip you with the necessary tools to overcome daily challenges to help you maintain an active and fulfilling life.
You’ll get the support you need, find practical ways to deal with pain, fatigue and other symptoms, discover better nutrition and exercise choices, understand new treatment choices, and learn better ways to talk with your doctor and family about your health.
This workshop will meet every Tuesday from Sept. 19 through Oct. 24 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
