Stepping Stones Bereavement Camp in Eureka, Mo.
A free, weekend camp for children and teens ages 6 to 15 who have experienced the death of a family member or close friend
BJC Hospice is hosting Stepping Stones Bereavement Camp from Aug. 11 to 13 at Campy Wyman in Eureka, Mo.
The overnight weekend camp provides a safe place for campers ages 6 to 15 to explore their grief and emotions.
Stepping Stones combines the fun of a traditional camp with an opportunity for youth to:
- Meet other children with similar losses
- Learn ways to heal
- Remember and honor their loved one in an atmosphere of understanding and encouragement
The camp is free for all children who have lost loved ones, not just those families served by BJC Hospice. BJC Hospice’s service areas include the following counties:
- Macoupin
- Montgomery
- Jersey
- Madison
- Bond
- Fayette
- Clinton
- St. Clair
- Monroe
- Calhoun
- Marion
- Greene
- Portions of Pike and Perry
