Opportunity for youth with disabilities to develop friendships and social skills.

The Special Needs Social Club provides an opportunity for youth ages 5 to 21 with disabilities to cultivate friendships, foster peer relationships and work to develop social skills.

The November social club meeting is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at Erin’s Pavilion in Springfield. This month’s theme is “Turning Over a New Leaf” in behavior.

Students will create a fall craft and socialize. Parents will hear from Corey Moore, M.A., BCBA, regarding behavior interventions and supporting children at home and school. Everyone will have the opportunity to eat pizza.
