A free, five-week health and wellness online zoom course created for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Do you want to make your life healthier?

“Spring Into Health” classes will be held via Zoom beginning on March 10 from 12 – 1 p.m. In collaboration with Health Matters, classes will meet every Thursday for the next five weeks.

Join presenter Erin Shy for an hour each week to learn more about how you can make healthy lifestyle habits a part of your daily living.

Using the evidence-based Health Matters: The Exercise and Nutrition Health Education Curriculum for People with Developmental Disabilities, classes will cover:

  • Physical activity
  • Nutrition
  • Sleep
  • General health management

Shy is a third-year occupational therapy doctoral student. As part of her doctoral capstone experience, she is expanding health promotion initiatives for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities where people live, learn, work and play.
