Special Needs Winter Camp and Santa Visit in Springfield

Photo opportunities with Santa Claus and gifts from the Springfield Park District Police Department

The Springfield Park District Police Department is partnering with the Special Recreation Department this holiday season by becoming Santa’s helpers.

The police department is donating presents for Santa to pass out to the Special Needs Winter Camp children at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 23 at Erin’s Pavilion in Southwind Park.

The event provides a great opportunity for children to meet and get a photo with Santa Claus as well as the park district police officers.

The Special Recreation Department provides safe and fun recreational opportunities in an inclusive setting for children with and without disabilities.
