Special Needs Playdate for Chicago-Area Families

Event includes a sensory-friendly area with adaptive toys
Chicago Parent Magazine is hosting a Special Needs Playdate on Jan. 28 in Northbrook for children with special needs and their siblings.
The National Lekotek Center will host a “Chill Out Zone” that provides a sensory-friendly area with adaptive toys and a shortened sensory storytime. The event will also feature children’s entertainers, swimming, sports games and resources for parents.
The playdate will be split into two sessions: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m.
Advance tickets are $5 for ages 3 and up. Admission is free for parents and children ages 2 and under.
