Join Family Matters Parent Training and Resource Information Center for this four-part “Understanding Dispute Resolution” webinar series on Zoom.
Family Matters educational support coaches will cover conflict resolution options in the special education process. Sessions will feature guest speakers from Equip for Equality, the Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission and the Illinois State Board of Education.
The series will kick off with “Working Together: Ways to Work Together as an IEP Team” on Sept. 6 from 3 to 4 p.m.
Participants will learn about:
- Working in partnership with your IEP team
- Writing state complaints
- Understanding the importance of procedural safeguards
- Using due process and mediation effectively
