Free event offers in-depth discussions, experts in the field and insights from fellow parents.

The Southern Illinois Vision Conference will take place March 16 at the Belleville Area Special Service Cooperative.

The event is for parents of children ages birth through 21 to join in-depth discussions of use topics and learn from experts in the field as well as from fellow parents. Children must be at least 12 years old to attend.

The conference program will include the following topics and sessions:

  • Blindness versus low vision
  • Social/emotional needs
  • IEP and transition
  • Orientation and mobility

The conference is free to attend. Service providers are also welcome to attend and will be able to earn professional credits.
