A gathering for siblings of children with disabilities or chronic conditions who are ages 7 to 12
Advocate Children’s Hospital – Park Ridge‘s Sibsensations offers support for siblings of children with disabilities or chronic conditions.
This support group is for brothers and sisters of children with special needs ages 7 to 12.
Meetings will be via Zoom and in-person through November. (Zoom meetings are free, and in-person meetings are $10.)
Through games, activities, crafts and age-appropriate discussion, the children can:
- Meet peers with similar experiences in a fun and friendly atmosphere
- Discuss their common joys and concerns
- Learn how to handle situations they all face regularly and discuss what it’s like having a brother or sister with different abilities
The October Sibsensations meeting will be in-person at Advocate Children’s Hospital – Park Ridge on Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
