“Self-Advocacy, Rights and YOU!” in Dixon
A free in-person training focusing on advocacy for self-advocates, family members and professionals
Join the Illinois Self-Advocacy Alliance (The Alliance) and The Arc of Illinois for “Self-Advocacy, Rights, and YOU!” on Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Self-advocates, family members and professionals can spend the day learning about advocacy.
Participants will gain hands-on experience and a better understanding of:
- Advocacy
- Your rights
- Knowing what’s important in your life

The training is free. Lunch is included.
Register for the training in Dixon. You must register two weeks in advance. Space is limited.
“Self-Advocacy, Rights, and YOU!” trainings will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on:
- Oct. 18 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Parish Hall in Dwight
- Oct. 26 at Kankakee Community College in Kankakee
