Free opportunity to learn about the Illinois Respite Program and other valuable information for parents/caregivers.

The March meeting of the Rockford Parent Support Group is scheduled for noon to 1:30 p.m. on March 16.

The featured speaker will be Christy Thielen, Statewide Respite Coordinator from the Illinois Respite Coalition (IRC).  Christy will present on the following topics:

  • The IRC’s Emergency Respite Program
  • Different types of respite
  • Benefits and barriers to respite
  • Signs of caregiver burnout

The meeting is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Please call Dawn or Shannon at (815) 987-7571 to register by March 9.
