Retreat Yourself in Rockford
A weekend away for mothers, grandmothers and aunts of children with developmental disabilities.
Easterseals Family Support Services invites mothers, grandmothers and aunts of children with developmental disabilities for a weekend away.
The 11th Annual Retreat Yourself event in Rockford will be Oct. 25-27. Check-in is at 5 p.m., and the retreat begins at 6 p.m Oct 25. The retreat ends at 12 p.m. Oct. 27.
Enjoy a weekend away in a peaceful setting to network and gain resources from other caregivers of children with developmental disabilities. The keynote speakers will be Gina Gallagher and Patricia Terrasi, “The Shut Up Sisters.” Other indoor and outdoor activities include:
- Massages
- Hiking
- Meditation
- Bonfire
- Resources
Participants can take part in as many or as little activities as they would like.
A limited amount of guaranteed private rooms are available for $130.00 (first-come only). Otherwise, the cost is $100 for a two-night stay, including all meals.
