A beatboxing workshop for youth ages 8 to 15 on the autism spectrum

The Chicago Children’s Theatre invites you to the Red Kite Beatboxing Workshop that will run Oct. 26 – Nov. 2 from 5 to 6 p.m. The workshop consists of three Wednesday evening sessions.

The class will be at the Chicago Children’s Theater, 100 S. Racine Ave., in Chicago.

Beatboxing (also beat boxing) is a form of vocal percussion. Artists mimic drum machines and other instruments using their mouth, lips, tongue and voice.

Designed for young people on the autism spectrum, this music workshop will get you beatboxing and making music with your whole body in no time. Build confidence in expressing your creative side, practice social-emotional skills and have fun.

In the final workshop, participants will share some of their favorite parts of the class with families.

The workshop costs $75 for three sessions. Learn more about scholarships/financial assistance opportunities.

This camp is in-person. For the theatre’s policies and precautions during the pandemic, please see the Education Policies and FAQs.
