Recreation Series in McHenry County
Free event series for parents to learn about area special needs recreational opportunities.
Options & Advocacy for McHenry County is showcasing different recreational opportunities in McHenry County that support individuals with special needs. Each Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., a new facility or program will host a presentation for parents to learn about their programs.
The series begins on Feb. 6 and concludes on March 20. The schedule is as follows:
- Feb. 6 – Ha’s Taekwondo Academy, O & A office building, 365 Millennium Drive, Suite A, in Crystal Lake
- Feb. 13 – Dolphin Swim Club, 825 Munshaw Lane, in Crystal Lake
- Feb. 20 – Sparkle Squad Cheerleading, O & A office building, 365 Millennium Drive, Suite A, in Crystal Lake
- Feb. 27 – Challenger Baseball, O & A office building, 365 Millennium Drive, Suite A, in Crystal Lake
- March 6 – NISRA, 285 Memorial Drive, in Crystal Lake
- March 13 – Main Stay Therapeutic Farm, 6919 Keystone Road, in Richmond
- March 20 – Bravehearts Therapeutic Riding, 4950 Route 173, in Poplar Grove
The series is appropriate for parents of children of all ages. Please note that childcare is not provided.
