A free event for parents of elementary, middle school and high school children and youth with disabilities focusing on transition planning and students’ rights

Join Equip for Equality, The Arc of Illinois and John Wood Community College (JWCC) for a parent training event on transition planning. “Equipping Parents with Information” is on May 1 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

For special education students, the transition from high school to adulthood is sometimes called “falling off the cliff.” Do you know how to plan your child’s transition so they soar into their best life?

It’s never too early to think about your child’s future!

Join Equip for Equality attorney Jessica Range to learn about your students’ rights and options for transition.

Parents of school-age children and youth with disabilities are welcome to attend.

See the transition planning event flyer for more details.
