Event Type

A transition resource fair for high school students with special needs and their families.

The Options Fair aims to connect high school and transition-aged students and their families with resources that are essential for their future. It is scheduled for April 11 at the College of Lake County’s Grayslake campus.

Community and education professionals are also invited to attend.

Organizations and local resources will be available in the areas of:

Educational Opportunities
Employment Services
Vocational Day Programs
Government Programs
Health/Mental Health Services
Recreational Opportunities
Referral Sources, Advocacy and Information
Residential Programs
Transportation Resources.

UIC Division of Specialized Care for Children staff will also be on-hand to explain how we help youth and their families determine their readiness for the transition to adulthood and develop a plan for success.
