Northwest Special Recreation Association Day Camps

A variety of day camp opportunities for young children, youth, teens and young adults with disabilities

Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) is a partnership of 17 park districts in the northwest suburbs of Chicago supporting recreation opportunities and community access for people with disabilities.

NWSRA offers a wide variety of day camp options for individuals ages 3 to 21 years old. Camps will be held in June, July and August.

Daily activities will focus on areas including:

• Developing fine and gross motor skills
• Experiencing science, technology, engineering, art and math
• Exploring nature and sensory opportunities
• Experiencing volunteer opportunities
• Developing healthy lifestyle habits

Full-day, half-day and after-camp programs are available. There are also several transportation options parents may choose to add.

NWSRA park districts include Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Mt. Prospect, Palatine, Prospect Heights, River Trails, Rolling Meadows, Salt Creek, Schaumburg, South Barrington, Streamwood and Wheeling.
