Calling all middle school students who are deaf and hard of hearing and enjoy mathematics!

The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)/National Technical Institute for the Deaf  (NTID) National Math Competition is now open.

Each year, the event begins with four regional competitions leading up to a national competition at RIT/NTID. Up to 25 teams per region gather and face off in a fast-paced competition and answer a variety of challenging math questions. Seasoned math whizzes or students just beginning their math journey can participate.

To compete you must be:

  • Deaf or hard of hearing
  • In sixth, seventh or eighth grade during the 2023-24 school year
  • Age 15 or younger as of March 31, 2024

A team must have three or four eligible students and a coach to compete.

Complete the competition application online. Registration is open until Dec. 15. Spots are limited and fill quickly.
