McDonough County Day Camp 2022 – “These Are a Few of My Favorite Things”
An outdoor adventure day camp for youth and adults ages 11-30 with disabilities
McDonough County Special Recreation Association (MCSRA) welcomes participants to “These Are a Few of My Favorite Things” day camp from June 6 – Aug. 4. Camp will run Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The camp will be held at the Stone Shelter in Glenwood Park, 1406 N. Randolph St., in Macomb.
Campers will enjoy hanging out with friends and enjoying activities centered around the theme “These Are a Few of My Favorite Things.”
Each week, crafts and games will be based on “favorites,” including Disney characters, superheroes, sports, animals and kindness. Activities will also include ceramics, gardening, swimming, volunteering at the McDonough County Humane Society, and exploring the park and community.
Campers will need to bring their lunch, a water bottle, sunscreen and bug spray each day. Door-to-door transportation is not available.
The cost for camp is:
- Residents: $300 for two consecutive weeks or $700 for all eight weeks
- Nonresidents: $380 for two consecutive weeks or $780 for all eight weeks
Resident scholarships and flexible days may be available with advanced registration.
