Management of Sickle Cell Diseases Conference in Oak Lawn

One-day conference to provide a comprehensive overview of care, research and treatment therapies for individuals living with sickle cell disease.

The 2017 Management of Sickle Cell Disease Conference is scheduled for Oct. 6 at the Hilton Oak Lawn. The event is designed for providers, nurses, healthcare professionals, educators, social workers, individuals with sickle cell disease (SCD), students and the community at large. Participants can learn about SCD and sickle cell trait (SCT) through lecture, discussion and the sharing of current and future treatment regimen(s).

Staff from UIC’s Division of Specialized Care for Children will be among the exhibitors.

The registration costs are as follows:

General  – $60

Sickle Cell Disease Patients/Parents – $15

Community Health Workers – $40 (with current ID)

Graduate Students – $40 (with current student ID)

Undergraduate Students – $30 (with current student ID)

High School Students – $15 (with current student ID)
