A free workshop in-person or via Zoom for anyone interested in learning more about positive behavior interventions and the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

Does your child’s behavior impede learning at school? Do you know what positive interventions should be implemented?

Join Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center (FMPTIC), Easterseals, Florissa and the Oregon Public Library for “Positive Behavior Interventions & IDEA” on Oct. 20 from 6 – 8 p.m.

Individuals may attend in-person at the Oregon Public Library or via Zoom from their home or from four additional library locations.

Participants at this free workshop will learn about:

  • Functional behavior assessments
  • Teaching expected behaviors
  • Positive behavior interventions in the Individualized Education Program (IEP)

Live, in-person training will be at the Oregon Public Library, 300 Jefferson Street, and limited to eight people. Masks are required.

Individuals may sign up to participate virtually from their home or to watch the training from any of these four locations:

  • Odell Public Library, 307 S Madison Street, Morrison
  • Mt Morris Public Library, 105 S McKendrie Avenue, Mt. Morris
  • Dixon Public Library, 221 S Hennepin Avenue, Dixon
  • Polo Public Library, 302 W Mason Street, Polo
