Leo’s Club of Rockford Informational Meeting

Leo’s Club is for individuals ages 14 to 30 with autism spectrum disorder, special needs and their peers.

The Autism Program of Easterseals is partnering with the Rockford Noon Lions to start its own Leo’s Club for individuals ages 14 to 30 with autism spectrum disorder, special needs and their peers. An informational meeting about the club is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 6 at the University of Illinois Rockford.

The club aims to provide youth with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national and international community.

The Leo Club motto is:

Leadership – Develop skills as a project organizer, time manager and team leader.

Experience – Learn how teamwork, cooperation and collaboration can bring exciting changes to your community and the world.

Opportunity – Make friends and feel the rewards of community service.
