“I’m Not Just Black, I’m Autistic” Virtual Discussion
Free support group event for parents, caregivers and providers of Black or Latinx individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
The Answer, Inc., is hosting a virtual parent support group meeting for parents, caregivers and providers of Black and Latinx individuals who are autistic or have developmental and intellectual disabilities.
“I’m Not Just Black, I’m Autistic,” is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Feb. 11 via Zoom.
ShaRhonda Dawson, co-founder of Brondhouse, LLC, will lead the discussion of issues unique to Black individuals who are autistic.
Topics include:
- How to have positive police interaction
- Making sure your concerns are heard in your schools
- How to bridge the racial service gap
