Illinois School for the Visually Impaired STEM Camp 2019
One-week camping adventure for youth ages 11-16 who are blind or visually impaired.
Illinois School for the Visually Impaired (ISVI) summer camps bring together students who are blind and visually impaired from schools throughout Illinois for a week-long learning adventure. Each camp will present an overview of current trends in an area of concentration.
All camps are scheduled for June 16-22 on the ISVI campus in Jacksonville.
The STEM Camp will allow campers to shine as they problem-solve strategies using math and science skills, integrating technology and engineering with the use of robotics and team-building activities.
Students who are visually impaired ages 11 to 16 are eligible to attend if they:
- Reside in Illinois
- Do not currently attend ISVI
- Are not high school graduates
- Have appropriate independent living skills
There will be a fee of $15. No student will be denied an opportunity to attend camp solely for an inability to pay. Scholarships are available by calling Barbi Ballard at (217) 479-4446.
