IATP Statewide Conference and Expo

The Illinois Assistive Technology Program is hosting its statewide conference and expo Sept. 13-14 at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield.
The conference, entitled “Discover the Possibilities”, focuses on uses of assistive technology in education, employment and community living to enhance the success and independence of individuals of all ages with disabilities.
The Expo is free and open to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 13 and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 14. It will provide hands-on experience and will have a large variety of assistive technology devices available for participants to see and try.
Workshops are designed for individuals with disabilities, their family members, advocates and professionals.
The Institute on Disability and Human Development at the University of Illinois at Chicago will provide continuing education units for participants.
