Heroes Unite for Autism Acceptance and Child Abuse Prevention in Elgin

An event open to community members of all ages to raise awareness and provide information about Autism Acceptance Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month

The Elgin Police Department in partnership with the Autism Hero Project is hosting the 2nd Annual Heroes Unite event on April 23 from 1 – 4 p.m.

The outdoor event will be held in front of the City of Elgin Police Department, 151 Douglas Ave., in Elgin.

People of all ages are invited to an afternoon filled with fun, raising awareness for people living with autism and learning how everyone can help prevent child abuse.

The event will include:

  • Sensory areas
  • Educational resources
  • Children’s games and activities
  • Information about community partners
  • Raffles
