A free event offering a wide range of transition workshops and resources for students with disabilities and their families in Madison, Randolph and St. Clair counties

The Madison-Randolph-St. Clair County Transition Planning Committee and Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) are hosting the “G.R.E.A.T. Event IEP Transition Resources Fair” on April 18 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Head to the main gym on SWIC’s Belleville campus for the G.R.E.A.T. Event (Gathering Resources for Excelling Adults in Transition)!

This free event will feature Individualized Education Program (IEP) and transition resources and workshops on:

  • Education and employment
  • Guardianship
  • Housing options
  • Insurance benefits
  • Trust and ABLE accounts

Be sure to stop by the Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) booth to learn about our Transition Toolkit. Our representatives will also answer questions and share information about our statewide services and programs for children and youth with special healthcare needs.
