A free event for families with young children featuring local entertainment, nature activities, art and more

Illinois AEYC-Spirit of Illinois Chapter (Association for the Education of Young Children) is hosting the “Festival of the Young Child” on April 9 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The festival will be held at Mattoon Cross County Mall, 700 Broadway Ave. E., in Mattoon.

Families are invited to have some fun and enjoy:

  • Visiting with other families and community helpers
  • Local entertainment
  • Nature, art, literacy and gross motor activities
