A free event for families with young children featuring local entertainment, nature activities, art and more

The Illinois Association for the Education of Young Children (AEYC) – Spirit of Illinois Chapter is hosting the “Festival of the Young Child” on April 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The festival will be at Mattoon Cross County Mall, 700 Broadway Ave. E., in Mattoon.

Families can enjoy:

Visiting with other families and community helpers
Local entertainment
Nature, art, literacy and gross motor activities
