Enchanted Railroad Sensory-Friendly Times at the Morton Arboretum
Enjoy the arboretum’s railroad displays with reduced noise and sensory tools.
The Morton Arboretum is hosting Enchanted Railroad Sensory-Friendly Times, a sensory-friendly hour to experience the annual railroad display. Since some children may be overstimulated by the sights and sounds of the Enchanted Railroad, the arboretum has created special times to accommodate these families.
This event is designed for individuals with disabilities and sensory processing needs as well as their siblings and family members.
Registration will be capped at 40 guests so that families can enjoy a crowd-free space. The volume of railroad display noises will be reduced, and sensory tools will be available to help ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.
The next available sensory-friendly time is Feb. 23 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Admission to The Morton Arboretum and the Enchanted Railroad Sensory-Friendly Times is waived with advanced registration.
