DuPage Children’s Museum Adaptive Play Time
An opportunity for families with children with disabilities to experience the museum with fewer guests and a less stimulating environment
The DuPage Children’s Museum is hosting an adaptive play-time event on Dec. 12 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
The museum invites families with children with disabilities, on the autism spectrum and/or with sensory processing to spend time exploring and learning together at the DuPage Children’s Museum, located at 301 N. Washington St., in Naperville.
Adaptive play-time provides a modified environment where lights are dimmed and fewer guests are admitted to decrease noise and other distractions.
Registration is required on the museum website.
Masks are required for everyone age 2 years and older. During Adaptive Play Times, an exception can be made for a child with a medical or sensory issue that prevents them from wearing a mask.
