Free virtual training for Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) participants and their families and anyone interests in these topics
The University of Illinois Chicago’s Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) Health Insurance Education Series continues with “Insurance Appeals” on May 9 from 6 to 7 p.m.
This free, family-focused series aims to help families understand their health insurance coverage and benefits.
During this session, DSCC’s Benefits Management and Research Team will cover:
- What to do if your insurance doesn’t approve a service
- What the appeal process looks like
- How to write an appeal letter
- Examples of appeal letters
There will also be time for questions.
This session is free and open to all DSCC participants, their families/caregivers and anyone interested in these topics.
