Deaf Kids Code Workshops in Chicago

Free, hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) workshops for youth ages 14 to 19 who are deaf and hard of hearing

Build your skills with the Chicago Park District Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs’ “Deaf Kids Code” workshops on Saturdays, Jan. 28 to March 25, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The workshops will be at Gage Park, 2411 W. 55th St., in Chicago.

The workshops can provide teens with hearing loss powerful tools and skills they can use to build their future success.

Participants will create, develop and present their own online portfolio. They will also learn computer coding and resume writing skills through Bitsbox and Wix.

Kids Code Foundation presents these workshops. They are open to youth between the ages of 14 to 19 years old.
