Deaf Kids CODE in Chicago
A hands-on workshop with the first Latina aerospace engineer for deaf and hard of hearing youth to learn about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)
Spend spring break with the Chicago Park District Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs at the Deaf Kids Code workshop on April 11-15 from 10 a.m – 3 p.m. each day.
The workshop will be held at Gage Park 2411 W. 55th St., in Chicago.
Do you like computers and building robots?
If you’re in grades fifth – 12th and interested in computer science, technology and design, this Deaf Kids CODE workshop is the place for you!
Learn about STEM alongside the first deaf Latina aerospace engineer who will help you take your ideas and turn them into reality. Participants will plan and build inventions and apps. Laptops and tablets will be provided.
Activities will also include free time, games and sports throughout the day.
Each teen must bring their own lunch and drinks. Snacks will be provided.
