A virtual event dedicated to cystic fibrosis science and research around infections.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is hosting ResearchCon, the first virtual event dedicated to CF science and research.

Clinicians, researchers and community members will co-lead this free online event to share the latest information around infection research with the CF community. People with CF and their family members who are at least 16 years old are invited to participate.

Topics include:

  • A keynote focusing on the current state of infections in the CF community and what is in the pipeline
  • The science of infection control, treatment guidelines and optimizing treatments
  • The role of inflammation in CF lungs
  • Bacterial infections and antimicrobial resistance
  • Non-bacterial fungal infections
  • Nontuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM)
  • Sinus infection/sinus disease
  • Chronic infections and their impact on the gut
  • Microorganisms 101
  • A roundtable discussion with adults with CF who have clinical or research jobs
